Take note of the following buttons:

Step 1: Enable the 'Frequency' column in calculator
Press SHIFT, followed by MODE to reach the following screen:
Press ▼ (Down direction key) once:
Press 4 to select '4: STAT' :
Press 1 to enable 'Frequency' column
Step 2: Enter data
Let's consider an example. The following table shows the number of goals scored by the first twenty Manchester United players in the 2012/2013 title winning season.
No. of goals | 0 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 16 | 18 | 30 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Players | 5 | 4 | 3 | 2 | 2 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
Let's enter this data in the calculator.
Press MODE:
Press 2 to choose '2: STAT':
Press 1 to choose '1: 1-VAR'
(Go back to Step 1 if you didn't obtain the screen above - you need to enable the 'Frequency' column)
Now enter the data into the calculator:
No. of goals (X) | 0 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 16 | 18 | 30 |

Press AC to return to the main screen.
Step 3: Calculate Mean
Press SHIFT followed by 1:
Press 4 to select '4: Var'
Once done, press MODE followed by 1 to switch back to normal operation.
